This symposium is organized by the Stored Particles Atomic physics Research Collaboration - SPARC and the Atomic and Molecular Physics Division of the Portuguese Physical Society (Sociedade Portuguesa de Física). The SPARC has been formed within Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research (FAIR) - at GSI, Darmstadt - Germany, and aims to join expertise on atomic physics with highly charged ions at an international level.
